I know we all feel like garbage most of the time (thank you Fibro!), but is there something you can be thankful for having fibro? I am thankful that it's made me slow down and enjoy the smaller, simpler things in life.

I am thankful that it taught me responsibility. Before my diagnosis I was partying alot, eating crappy food, and not getting enough sleep. After finding out the cause of my ailments, and that there were things other than medication to assist me, I treat my body better. I am one of the few people I know that gets 8 hours of sleep a night, I stress in the mornings to loosen my joints, I drink plenty of water, and I take my vitamins. I have been doing this since I was 23 years old, most 23 year olds don't do any of that LOL

Yeah, strange as it can sound, I recently was feeling grateful that the Fibro has made me slow down, appreciate small things, and not think I have to conquer the world every day. It's been liberating to just say "I'm tired" and just let things go.
