recently, i just signed up in the gym. i been liking it being it is so cold outside. past two training, W6D2 and W6D3, i did it in a treadmill... i found it a lot easier.... i could've run 30mins without stopping but i still followed the training app that i'm using... here's the question:

does it matter where you do it?
uphill, downhill, flat, on the side walk, or treadmill

does it matter how fast you have to run?
i average 4.5 mph

does it matter how long you warm up?
my app said 5 mins but i am not quite ready so i go about 10mins....

the only thing that matters is that you do it. You can worry about increasing your speed, working on hills, etc later, and you'll need to if you want to actually go out and run a 5k race, but for now any day you get out there and go is better than a day you don't.

It does not matter where you do it, or how fast you do it. The treadmill is easier though because you aren't actually moving your body.

Doing it on the treadmill is fine if it works for you. Just keep in mind that if you decide to move your running outdoors when the weather improves, it will likely be more difficult. I found this out the hard way when I tried my first 5K after doing the C25K program (the first half anyway) on a treadmill. It was a very rude awakening. I restarted the program running on an indoor track first and now have moved outside. I actually find the cold (well, cold for here...) invigorating so far. Once we drop below freezing, we will see how that holds up...lol
