Spent the other day reading the Fitness guide and the Diet guide.
I love the fact that they finally built in flexibility to the training schedule. 3-6 weeks per phase. Make your own recovery days. That sort of thing. I think part of the drawback to the original program (especially for beginners) was the feeling of rigidity and structure. And almost a sense of failure if you missed one day. At least, that's the types of comments I have seen from many people starting out. I like that X2 "allows" us to let our bodies dictate when we need to take a break.
Still not a huge fan of the diet guide, I think the calorie ranges are a bit broad. Not to mention if I ate what their calculation table suggests I'd be dramatically short from what I know I need. I like that they gave % for the macros this time around. The recipes look awesome. Vegan and grain free are pretty cool too.
I know I am ready to begin. It's been torture waiting until 12/12.
