women, bulking, and weight gain?

I'm trying to figure out, as a below average woman (5'3") what I should expect for weight gain per week or month while bulking. I've never actually tried to gain weight before . . . I know that in a perfect situation the most a woman can expect to gain in muscle in a month is like 2 pounds, but I'm not sure where to set my goal.

It's not 2lbs muscle. It's 1lb a month, for like the first year, and then after that 1/2lb a month. 2lbs a month then 1lb, is for men I think
Bulking myself, what is ideal in my eyes is around 2-4lbs a month overall gain. I'm always hearing about how fat is easier to lose than muscle is to gain so I'm not too fussed about more than half being fat, as long as it's not in ridiculous amounts. I'd rather focus on getting stronger and gaining all the muscle I can, and worry about getting the fat off later.
In around 5.5months I've now gained approx 16lbs, maybe 5-6lbs muscle if I'm lucky? A few lbs water weight and the rest fat?
Not sure if it should be any different depending on height, hopefully some other women your height will respond. I'm 5'8 but I doubt it'll make that big a difference0 -
I've read that the minimum fat you should expect to gain is 0.3 pounds of fat per pound of muscle. So far in 2 months of trying I've gained 3 whole pounds, not sure how much is fat, how much is water, and how much is muscle, maybe a pound of each. I haven't noticed any additional fat on my body at all. I did just up my calories to gain a little more. It is sooooooo hard for a woman to gain muscle. It's important to remember that and not sabotage all the hard work you are putting in just because you are afraid of a little fat, which is relatively easy to lose.0
