I am so sorry that I'm not on top of things this week. My daughter had pink eye Monday, and I got it Wednesday. This morning I woke up really ill. Cold, sore throat... uh. So, this week is going to be a reflection week...

Whenever you find yourself getting out of control say to yourself " As much as I want to eat {this Food} and enjoy a moment or two of pleasure, losing weight is more important to me" While we all are good at berating ourselves when we do something wrong, we need to really make sure we give ourselves credit when we do something right, and give ourselves a pep talk when we go out of control ... pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start again.

I want you each to make two lists. One list is going to be five things you like about yourself as a person, because obviously that is more important than physical beauty. However, for the second list, look in the mirror and find five physical things you like about yourself. This may be easy for some of you, but it will be a real challenge for others. Many of us are here because of poor body image, and unfortunately weight loss will not change that. If you don't love yourself now, weight loss won't fix that. You were given one body; learn to love it. Start appreciating the things others see but you are too blinded to notice and love. Explore yourself today MFP, realize how fantastic you truly are.
Feel free to share one or both of your lists, or feel free to keep them private. Whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Tell us your WHY. Why do you want to lose this weight? Do you have health issues that you are trying to get rid of? Do you want to actually play with your kids. Whatever it may be, share what you are striving for, even if it is to get into a different size clothes. Dig deep here.
