First of I recommend that if for any reason financial, personal, etc transition off Medifast!! Don't go cold turkeyike I did. So due to financial reasons I had to get off Medifast on Dec 14 and I was fold by Take Shape For Life licensed nutritionist to eat 1500-200 cals a day to lose weight well i was scared I would eat too much so I just ate 1200 cals a.day on Wed I ate a little over 1300 as well as Thur and in those two days lost 7.2 lbs on Fri 208.4 on Friday I ate over 1900 cals I still lost but only .4lbs on Sat I ate a strict 1200 cal and gained back up to 213.6 so on Sunday I was like I will try a 1500 cal diet and I struggled and ate well over 2000 cals I got depressed n really sad and was mad because u felt I was failing and there was no away I was ready to do this on my own...so I called a friend and asked her to give me what she could spare on MF food...the program works for me and I Excel at a more structured diet...I don't like having control unlike some people I thrived on MF and lost 52.4 lbs in 18.5 weeks so now Dec 19 Monday I am back on MF plan and loving it!!! Excited to continue and get down to 150 which is my goal weight...ao my new goal for Dec is to be down 10lbs by. December 31,2011 I still have so much more to learn about eating, carbs, proteins, fat and how much my body needs and how many calories to intake to lose weight successfuly on MF I don't have to worry about all that just do what I'm told and follow a guideline and I like it that way;) I'M BACK!!!;) I have 6 days of food left and my friend is giving me 7 days so prayfully we will have the money in the next 6-7 days to place a MF order..gonna work my home business to the max n party my way to the funds I need;)

Oh my gosh! You should never feel like you're failing anyone. Life happens, and it's not a race. Even if you were not able to afford a new MF order, you can still find "normal" foods that fit into your calorie needs. You might have to play around with your MFP tracker and add/delete foods until you have the right amounts of what you need. If you're not already doing it, try planning your day's food in the morning. I've had days where I wasn't prepared for a situation and had to go off plan, I just adjusted what I ate the rest of the day to stay within the MF cal/carb/fat/protein limits. I went away for a week and a half to help a friend get her parents' house ready for an estate sale, and we were supposed to use up the food in the house so it wouldn't have to get thrown out. I ended up gaining .5 lb in that time because we were staying up so late at night (4-5 am) that I would eat an extra meal. I had packed enough MF meals to get me through the entire trip and shopped for my L&Gs when we got there, but my mindset has always been one where I can't stand to see food thrown out (unless it's bad). Most likely from my mom making me clean my plate as a kid. My workouts are probably what saved me! It is doable, you just have to figure out what works for you. Do you track only your calories here? I like the fact that I've been able to lose steadily on MF and it's easy, but I am vitamin D deficient now and my hair is falling out (my hairdresser was kind enough to point out that I'm thinning on top of my head, not just below it!), and I'm really not convinced that it's the best plan to be on for a long period of time.0

Do you track on the MF site too, or just here? Are you keeping track of your carbs somewhere?0

You can check out ebay and craigslist for discount food. There are a lot of people are there trying to get rid of stuff.
I hope everything works out. 58lbs is an awesome accomplishment.0
