Christmas Morning Virtual Workout

Hi all.
My goal on Christmas is to wake up super early and VERY quietly head to the basement where my trainer is, in hopes that my daughters (9, 7, 7) don't hear me. With luck, I'll be able to put in a good hour before things get crazy.
Does anybody else have any Christmas workout plans they'd like to share? Maybe we could do a "virtual workout" where everybody posts their Christmas morning (or afternoon or evening) efforts.
Anybody interested?

My kids will be with their mom Christmas morning, so I can pretty much do whatever I want. Weather permitting, I may go for a mountain bike ride, but I'll be getting in some sort of workout for sure.
If I had my kids in the morning, I doubt I'd even try to get up without waking them. Good luck!0 -
Good luck not waking your daughters up! I am doing my major weekend workout on Christmas Eve morning because I know I won't be able to on Christmas Day. I'm getting my road bike for Christmas and it's a surprise to me (I paid for it & got sized for it but dont' know exactly which model my dad & husband picked out until Christmas morning) so I'd ruin the surprise by waking up & seeing it before everyone else. I may go for a ride with my dad later in the day depending on the weather though.0

I plan a Christmas Eve long bike ride
Christmas day I am driving about 2.5 hours to spend Christmas with my family...the only exercise I will be getting is pulling around my almost 3yo niece around in her wagon for our traditional "after dinner" family walk! I am competing a sprint tri next fall in the area I am traveling to, so I plan to scope out the staging area, bike and run routes as well
Happy holidays to everyone!0 -
Have fun checking out the sprint tri course Carolinagirl! I have my long car ride tomorrow
Safe travels & Merry Christmas everyone!0 -
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
64 minute spin, light to moderate effort.
I wasn't quiet enough this morning. My 9yo came running out of her room at 5:15 to see what the noise was all about. I SWEAR I thought I was being quiet! She was disappointed when it was just me, and said she had no sense of what time it was, anything to be excited about yet? I said no, it was just lil ol' me, go back to bed, no news yet. So she went back to bed and I hurried to the basement to work out, on borrowed time. After about an hour, I thought I heard rumblings, so I went snooping, and found 2 of the 3 up and checking out the house. RUSH TO THE SHOWERS!!! While I cleaned, they got the rest of the house up and at 'em, and away we went.
I got 3 pairs of sock guy socks! Isn't life beautiful.0 -
I had a triathlete's dream for Christmas...
2012 Jamis Ventura Comp bike with clip on aero bars
Garmin 310XT w/ HRM
Bike mount for Garmin
Canari bike shorts
Fuel belt w/ pocket (for my phone...husband is getting worried as my runs and rides get longer & farther from home)
Cute wicking running shirt
Of course, it's easy to get what you want when you buy for yourself (the top 3 on the list) but my family knows me well too (the bottom 3 gifts on the list).
Just took the bike for a 1 miler around the block to make sure it fit well...it fit PERFECT! Seriously made it feel effortless on the flat pavement...can't wait to go for a good ride this week on it! Pictures will be posted on my profile later tonight...
@Trijoe--Good job getting your 9 yo back to bed at least for a little bit. I've heard Sock Guy socks are really nice!
Merry Christmas to all & to all a Good Night!0 -
I had a killer mountain bike ride, almost 2 hours in PERFECT conditions. Burned a little over 1300 cals, if memory serves me.0
