Holiday Eating Black Hole

Uuuugh... I feel like total crap.
I think I'm officially in a holiday eating black hole. It seems like everyday the past few weeks, there''s been nothing but snacks, treats and other holiday junk food littering my home and workplace, and I've fallen in DEEP this year... Definitely something I'm looking forward to reversing and getting a fresh start on 12/26! I know exactly where I went wrong... I told myself a few weeks ago that I was going to go ahead and enjoy my holidays without guilt, and now that's it's been pre-justified, I'm going way overboard. I was doing so well too just a few months ago... Finished Insanity... Did some weight-lifting... Started running, which I absolutely love doing when I get the chance... was strictly logging everything I ate... reached an all-time-low weight... and then I fell into it!
12/26 is my 30th birthday, so what better gift could I possibly give to myself than the gift of a fresh start to live an active healthy lifestyle and eat only a clean, healthy diet. That's it! It's now or never. Need to make the change for life...

I hear ya! So far the eating hasn't been to horrendous but all the festive drinking isn't helping my efforts. Ended up shoveling half a friend's kebab into me at about 4am in the morning after sipping on far too much vodka all night long. Now I'm tired and hungover and all i want to do is eat all around me.

I'm not sure what kind of state I"ll be in to take this fit test on Monday morning but come hell or high water I'll give it a go!

I've been eating not logging past couple of days. Not toooo bad - I used to eat worse - but erratic and having a mince pie for breakfast this morning kinda sums it up. I hardly ever drink now but tonight (Christmas Eve now nearly 11 pm) I am having a can of beer.

Really looking forward to monday and getting fully back on track again - i've come too far to fall back on it!

Watched the fit test through again today and think i am going to find bits of it so tough - the last few drills look deadly to me!!

See you the day after tomorrow....

OK, I did it... I stepped on the scale today... 195. Up from an all-time low of 177 about three months or so ago. Tomorrow it begins! Back to strict logging and working out 5-6 days per week! I'll weigh in and do measurements tomorrow before my fit test as well...

Thank you to EVERYONE in this group! Let's do this together... motivate one another every step of the way!

I'm ready... I even ordered a HRM and a new pair of cross-trainers a few days ago. Amazon.com can't get them here fast enough! Went with the Polar FT7 and the Asics Intensity (Yeah, I'm an Asics guy!)

I hear ya. Christmas boozing and eating already taking it's toll. I'm over in Ireland so Christmas is pretty much a 2 week event. I could be in the pub every night this week if I chose to be. Sent myself home early tonight - primarily because I had a headache from the dehydration brought on by doing the fit test after a day's wine drinking yesterday!

Not going to log too much this week but just get stuck into Insanity and make sure I have my porridge for brekkie - then hopefully I'll avoid going too overboard with the rest of my meals.

Afternoon tea in a friend's tomorrow - I have Mince Pies, Devil's Food Cupcakes and a Fig Cake baked to bring along - diet killers - am just praying I burn shed loads of calories with Sean T tomorrow!
