Starting program on W3D1?

I've always been able to run a mile, non-stop, with no issues (typically at around an 8 min. mile), but anything longer than that i've always struggled. I tried starting with W1D1, but I feel like this is a waste of time. Has anyone started the program on W3D1? Any suggestions? Thanks!

You should be fine starting at W3D1...but you could also start with W1D1 and do a jog for the walk and a faster jog for the run....

C25K is meant to be flexible. You can repeat weeks and skip weeks as necessary. Definitely start W3 if W1 is too easy.

Week 1 was easy when I started it but I didn't mind, so I did all the runs, even the easy ones. But you will definitely succeed if you just start in W3.

Did the W3D1 workout twice last week (once by myself and once with my neighbor) and didn't have any problems, but it definately seemed like a good place to start! Already have a few 5K races lined up when I graduate from the program!

Just finished Week 3 and the only run that is tough to get through is the 1st 3 min run...all the others are a breeze!

Yay, let us know how it goes! I did couch to 5K over the summer and loved it - doing my first 10K race next month!

Ran my 1st 5K with my company running group this weekend and ran non-stop! Went really well. I think I could have run further if I really wanted to. Time for 5K was 32 min 58 sec.!!

Ran my 1st official 5K race this weekend. Finished 229th out of over 5,000 runners!! When I started my journey, my goal was to finish the 5K in under 30 minutes. I finished the race with a time of 24:38!!! I'm about 7-8 lbs away from my goal weight and i'm going to try and get my next 5K in under 20 minutes. (next race is in April) After that, i'm going to start training for a 10K. This has been a great life change and I hope to keep it up!!!
