Well first last week my hips went crazy they hurt so bad keep popping out so I took off a couple days just did walking and cleaning. Then about 3 days ago my back was so bad to the point I couldnt even walk it was like I hurt myself all over again and I don't have a clue how it happened. I started working out again today I tried some yoga and even tho it doesn't burn many calories I really like it. How is everyone else doing? I hope you all had a great holiday!

I'm so sorry your back is out. But if you can still do yoga, that's very encouraging. Hopefully you can work your way back up to other forms of exercise.

My hips and back ache a little sometimes, but so far, I haven't put it out to where I can't walk. Hopefully I won't need to resort to yoga too often, because I'm very clumsy and it's sad to try for that darn tree pose and topple over!
  • Sorry about your setback! Since I've been walking again, my back is hurting again, but I'm going to PT and she massages the muscles and makes it feel better. Every other PT has given me core strengthening, which made my back hurt more, but this one is great. I do my exercise at home, and go to therapy to feel better.

The holidays were fun, but not good in the way of nutrition and exercise. Gained 3 lbs. I'm doing really well now, though, and hope to post a loss very soon.

Maybe try to find a PT who will do massage and myofascial release. We need people that make us feel better!
  • Oh my, I do hope you're on the track to recovery, there is nothing worse :( Yoga is brilliant, and I do a bit when I get too sore for my walks and things. Its very helpful!

Holidays were good but I ate too much at New Years Dinner. My hips were playing up too, because I was more sedentary than I usually am, couldnt get out for my walks due to the awful weather. How was yours?
  • Me too! I had major dental surgery. I've had a plate in my mouth for 6 or 7 months. It is really upsetting my food-taste balance. I can't eat properly, and I sure as heck can't eat a salad. My mouth's been sore for over a week, and guess what feels the best...milkshakes! But I feel a change coming, and I'm able to eat a little better. I won't have permanent teeth for another 5 or 6 months. Help...
