My boyfriend and I play some D&D and we're getting into Pathfinder.0

Sweet, I have Pathfinder, but have yet been able to play it properly. I'm currently in a D&D 4th ed game that I'm enjoying, and I'm running a Star Wars Saga Edition game for some friends as well.0

I haven't table-top rpg'd in years :-) I still have all the deadlands stuff though, I loved that game, different mechanics & a nicely odd steampunky wild west.0
-
Nearest i get to that is the WoW TCG. Awesome game!0
-
Yep still pen and paper it - it's actually my favorite way to game - I like xbox, but I would dump it in a heartbeat for a good tabletop game. 4th edition is our current game0

I played D&D 2e and 3e but that was years ago. It's been difficult to find a decent group since I moved to the UK so I've pretty much given up on it. I think my last character was a half-elven druid.0

I'm currently playing a Shifter Druid, which is out of 4th ed. It's a fun class if you pick the right style of play.0
-
Currently 4th ed D&D, I'm the Dungeon Master... Keeps me off the Xbox and away from college work. :-)0

Currently playing Dark Heresy. I am a self confessed geek for Games Workshop stuff, have been for a good 20 years now.0

No, it's not too bad. Lots of D10 rolls against tables, as per usual for Games Workshop. Put it this way, even I've got the hang of it (mostly) and I'm terrible for learning game rules. I never listen when things get explained.
This past Tuesday I rolled some terrible hit rolls. I never thought it would be so hard to hit something with a +60 hit modifier
I play an (ex) Imperial Guardsman - fairly decent character class actually. Our psyker is a bit weedy, keeps driving members of the party insane by exposing us to the horrors of the Warp. Our Arbites has been a bit useless since his hand got blown off. By far and away the best character is the assassin (sniper).0 -

Do you play on Skype? My boyfriend and I are getting into the game but no one in our area plays. We would like to learn more about the rules and how it's played.0 -

WE've had one of our party skype in before now when he's been working in Geneva but hasn't wanted to miss a session. Worked pretty well actually.0

No, we don't Skype at all, with me traveling for work so often my character just sort fo comes and goes randomly.. However if you look on the Paizo forums, there are a tons of people that play over the internet (mostly play by post) and there is a thing called Pathfinder Society which is set up for people that don't have regular groups.0 -

GAH I am jealous! I want to play this game but the closest person who knows anything about the 40k universe lives like 50 miles away from me!!! ;n;0 -
I play: D&D 3.5 & 4.0, Shadowrun 4e, Classic Spycraft. Before, I have played SWRPG, Wheel of Time, D&D 2.0 & 3.0, Mage: the Ascension, Rifts, and Marvel Diceless.
I've been gaming this way since I was 15 and I will NEVER look back!
Though I've played a lot, I have very little experience as a GM. I have GM'ed Marvel Diceless before as well as roleplays on Facebook (Mass Effect diceless), and I am currently GM'ing Classic Spycraft. d20 is very intimidating for me to run, but once I get going I start having the time of my life!!0 -
I started out in Spycraft with some friends, which progressed to D&D 4e; I started out as a teenage blonde cheerleader elf wizard (yes, I did that on purpose) but got tired of having to stand in the back (I know now how awesome casters can be at higher levels) and shoot fireballs. Bigby's Icy Grasp was my favorite ability!
Then I entered my hack-n-slash phase and rolled me up a barbarian, and I've gamed with her up until my friend who was hosting all the sessions lost her job and moved up to Virginia with her brother (the GM). I haven't played since then...
But then over Christmas I was asked to GM my very very first session by my boyfriend, who has all the stuff but would rather play than mastermind. With 3 players and one GM, I figured this would be a soft start for me--well, we did the Christmas story replete with a dragon guarding the myrrh, a high priest giving our paladin the frankincense (but not telling him what it was) and our battlemind claimed a golden crown from the swamp sorceror boss they killed at the end.
They didn't know they were the wise men until the last three minutes of the game. (Present gifts to the babe in a manger, Y/N?) They were all duly impressed...and I heaved a huge sigh of relief!
Now I have two other campaigns to set up to satisfy the demand I have created..... ^_~0 -

Nice! The last time I ran, I made th eplayers go on the Hunt for the Great Pumpkin. Turns out Charlie Brown was a necromancer, and the Great Pumpkin had him charmed.0 -

That's awesome! I find it satisfying to sneak classic things like that in under their noses. Must be my devious streak coming out.0 -

The players were not fans of this when they accidnetally guessed what was happenning right before hittign the last farm. One said it as a joke, and realized it might be right when my best friend had a contemplative look on his face because he knew I would do soemthing like that.0 -

Speaking of Warhammer, my friend just got me into that hobby. I can see that I will have to limit myself when I order new models, lol.0

Ugh, oh how I hate that game. Now I've never looked at one of their books or watched a game take place now have I ever played it. But it is probably still the most popular game at my local gaming store, and every time I go in, I want to cause violence on the fanboys hanging out there. They have a tendency to block the aisles and not move for you to get through, or leave all their crap in the aisles. Almost took a dive into a pile of their miniatures once, trying to climb over a large pile of their crap. broke off some pieces to another of their miniatures one time too... that felt great. So yeah, my hatred of the game is based solely on a small segment of their players that are rude slobs.0 -

LOL! I'm nowhere near that bad.0 -
Used to be a table top gamer, but don't have a group these days and at 45, its a bit hard to ask your mates down the pub if they play D&D.
Ah well, it was good in the day...0
