My weigh-in day is Tuesday, but I finished my first full week on the mod BFL. The diet part went really well and the cardiovascular part went well. I could barely lift my arms for 3 days after the arm portion of strength-training. But I'm sure it will get easier. Yesterday was my day off and although I enjoyed it and ate all of the bad foods I wanted, I tracked my calories and I still ate so much fewer calories than I did before starting BFL. In the past when I have begun a diet/exercise program I don't lose weight the first month - at least not more than a couple of pounds the entire month. So I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high for tomorrow. But it is such a motivator to see weight loss that I hope I see a 2 lb loss tomorrow morning.0

I was sore most of last week, LOL. My chest and arms were sore until Thursday and my leg workout on Wed. made my legs sore until Friday. Usually the first week is the worst for soreness, but when I done BFL last year I was mildly sore every week because this program pushes you for one more rep so you can achieve the intensity level of 10. And if I can reach the full 12 reps I increase the weight for the next workout. This is just a really good system and I am excited for week 2!0

Keep it up, great program and it works. Glad to hear you are working hard at it. In this together.0

only lost 5 lbs so far but it must be all fat, because I've lost 1 1/2" off my waist and 3 full inches off my gut!! Keep pushing!0

wow to all of your results. My weigh-in day was Tuesday.
SW: 152 (and change)
W1: 150.2
W2: 149.4
So far, not a big weight loss; but I feel like the dieting and exercising are working. I will check my measurements next Tuesday and see if they have changed.0 -
my progress will probably start to slow down, but I will enjoy it as long as it is dropping off. docsallen and StrongGwen, you all are doing great. The main thing is feeling good and being healthy not so much what the scale says. I think we are all doing a great job! Keep it up!0

Great month for you! I have lost 4.8 lbs so far and I'm happy with it. I was hoping to lose 10lbs in Jan, but that isn't going to happen. But I am definitely losing some weight, I feel stronger, and I have managed to find time to exercise almost everyday and have stuck to my diet. I consider Jan a big success!0

Great post by all. I had an off week (1 Cardio day). Got 1 work out in. Gotta get back on track. lost 4 pounds..Not sure what that report will be Monday.0

Way to go everyone!
I am staying pumped! Loving the workouts, feeling better and better everyday. Even today I noticed my cheek bones just a little more defined. Loving the little changes too!

R Leg not working too well. Strange, goes numb and feels almost as if a blood vessel may have broke in the back of my knee joint. Irratating. Been going on for about 2 weeks now.
Lite week. Cardio x 3 this week.
SW 251
CW 248 (Big waves of fluctuation this weekend)
GW 225
Not meeting the mark right now. Sorry guys. I hope to get back to it soonest. PRESS and keep it up, I'm not going anywhere.0 -
We all have bad weeks, and weekends are the hardest for me. This past weekend my family and I went to Olive Garden and I just had to have some pasta, LOL. The best thing to do is get back on track, you know the whole back in the saddle if you fall off thing. Keep up the good work all!0

Not the time to be all macho-let the dr take a look and be sure it's nothing serious like a blood clot or a pinched nerve that will only get worse.0 -
Your right, will do, go get it looked at thanks0

Well the first two weeks of February have been pretty much a bust for me as far as weight loss. My CW is 256.8 which is up 0.2 # from the end of Jan. It has been the last couple of weekends that have got me superbowl and all the food. BUT I am getting faster on my run and still going up in weight on my workouts so I need to get my eating back in check in order to meet my February goal.0

I have modified my program much more than I planned. I am following the diet part of BFL and I am following the cardio part. Originally I planned on following the strength portion and adding more cardio (running) than the BFL plan. I am doing the 30DS for the strength portion. I am still trying to make exercise a part of my routine and it is harder than I thought. That said, I have been sticking to a routine and I am happy with my results so far. I have lost over 7 lbs and I am definitely more tone than I was before. And although finding time to go to the gym is hard, the diet feels natural. So far, it is a success!0

Well today was my last "official" weigh in for this round of BFL.
SW 274.8
CW 245.2
My goal was 240 so I missed it, that frustrates me a little; however I have lost 29.6# since 2 Jan - that makes me happy. I will work on posting some photos. This evening is my last lower body workout and then a run tomorrow morning. I do like this program it is very effective. For the next month I am going to do a program called tabata. Which promises to be very intense and then another round of BFL.

dude, 30 lbs since Jan is 10 lbs a month--that's awesome and enviable! I plan on posting my photos this weekend too--not great but certainly better than 12 weeks ago!0 -
Great work and great success to both of you. I have lost 8 pounds but did not stick to the BFL Routine. Blessed to have friends with encouragement and motivation. thanks!0

but you HAVE lost 8 lbs! and more importantly for long-term success, you have become lots more consistent about working out and posting on MFP, so you are for sure going in the right direction.0 -
so I got my "airbrush" tan (sounds SO much cooler than 'Spray-on' tan) and got my hubby to take photos Sunday evening. His health is poor and coordination is off & etc, and when I got ready to upload the pix found out that he did not actually snap the photos as he had thought, so there were NONE to upload! I took some with my phone which is lots harder than you think until you try it! But I'm not really happy with how I look anyway, so that's a bummer. Hopefully I'll get him to try again this week before I miss my deadline. But I know there's another Challenge coming up next week for me, so the beat goes on...0
