UGH! Day 6 and scale isn't moving!

I get sooo frustrated when I don't see results on the scale. I've been staying within my calories and sometimes not using the ones I gain from exercising and my weight hasn't budged. I didn't take pics the first day, which I regret, but I do sorta feel my body has changed some but have no real proof of it. I'm wondering if maybe the "changes" I feel are really just wishful thinking. I'm afraid to re-measure just in case there hasn't been a change I don't want to frustrate myself to the point that I give up. Anyone else feeling this way?

better than moving up like mine did!
  • Well, I got excited because one down it went down 0.4 and the next day it went right back up. I'm playing with that 0.4 and it's getting really frustrating. Hopefully we're just packing on some fat-burning muscle!

I'm the same way. My fiance hid the scale from me so I would stop weighing myself.
I'm trying to go by how I feel. Like the fact that I can do the exercises so much easier now and my stamina is going up so much. Maybe if you look at it that way you will see more results! Keep going!
  • Do not get discouraged! All the results I have read are massive inches lost but only an average of 6 lbs. Keep up the good work.

^ ditto. :) But I figure I feel so much better, and I can tell my stamina is improving. That's the important part. I'd rather feel healthier than the scale moving downwards despite no body improvements.

A lot of scales won't move a whole lot at first. For many of us our muscles aren't used tot this workout so they are storing water to aid in recovery! I'm debating on taking a rest day today to see if it makes a difference on the scale tomorrow because I can feel my body hurting all over (Not a TON, but it feels tired more than anything)>

I have a hard time losing too, so I don't let the scale rule me...this program is more about inches than weight I think...Just hang in there with us, don't watch the scale too much, and see where you are in 30 days...I bet you lose a size!
  • Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Yesterday was day 7 for me so I took the day off. I will workout 6 days a week and take one day for my body to rest. Anyway, I woke up this morning and was down some (about 1 pound) so I decided to try to just weigh myself every Saturday morning instead of daily and see if that helps. Curiosity gets the best of me so I may have to ask my husband or kids to hide the scale from me until Saturday morning, great idea!

Don't let it stress you out! I haven't lost anything either! By day four my scale was moving up in my average range. Yesterday I took a day off for rest and because we had a super busy day, I also ate a super high calorie diet all day(at least compared to my average) and my weight went back down to the low in my average today.

So my suggestion is going to be to take a break day. I'm taking today off as well(yet another super busy day) but plan to do 30 days of the workout even if they're not consistent.

Besides, most people find they loose inches more than pounds with the shred. So don't stress the pounds as the inches are the really worry. Right?
