Today I did my first workout and it took me less than 30 minutes to complete. My question is: How long does it normally take you to complete your workouts in stage 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7............... I'm curious as to how much time i'll need to allott for later stage workouts.

It varies, even within stages - they all got longer after stage 1, largely because the rest periods increase and you'll add in HIIT. I'm on Stage 5 now, and 5A took me 90 minutes but 5B only took an hour. When I added in 15 minutes of HIIT I was still done in 90 minutes.

It varied between 30 minutes and 75 minutes, or approximately.

Thanks gals... Now, at some point I'm going to have to figure out how I'm going to manage a workout that's longer than one hour. i use my lunch break to go to the gym, and i really can't take more than an hour......... cross that bridge later.

I'm in stage 2, and I moved the HIIT session to after the A workout instead of the B workout. The A workout takes me about 40 minutes plus the 15 minute HIIT session; the B workout takes me about 55 minutes

I used to workout at lunch too, but now I have to go after work. I still do my cardio days at lunch sometimes. Stage one workouts take me about 25 minutes to complete (30 if the gym is crowded), but with a 10-20 min warm-up, and 10 minutes to shower and change, it's a tight fit for an hour. You can probably do all of stage 1 during lunch, but after that you may have to re-work you schedule. I don't know if it's an option for you, but I know my manager doesn't care if I leave a bit early to workout if I don't take an actual lunch and just eat at my desk. Hey it couldn't hurt to ask...

I'm reading through the book now, and if I've missed something, please let me know, but it looks like you can do the HIIT on the "off" days that you're not lifting. I do that now with P90x, and it keeps the workouts to 45-60 mins.

I think you can, but for me it just works better to do it while I'm already at the gym lifting. I don't have an elliptical or stationary bike at home and if I go to the gym to work out for 15 minutes, I would spend more time driving there/back and getting changed than I actually would working out :-)

Oh thank goodness! I was getting scared as there is now way I can get a 90 minute workout in!
