    thats really good bysshe. I've been trying to swim 2 miles a day 6 days a week. much prefer swimming to walking, less impact on the joints and i love the water. This group is criminally underused

    My challenge was to include all forms of excercise! So, yes, swimming counts. I think I'm going to do a 40 miles challenge starting febraury 1st. You should join!
    That's 1.3 miles a day, as February has 29 days this year. I think it's totally doable. If you are gonna do a day off, you could always do 3 miles the day before and the day after. Makes you appreciate the day off more. And it puts you a bit ahead of where you'd need to be :D

    Wish I would remember to wear my pedometer, Its hard to equate my exercise to miles.

    I just ordered a Silva Tech heart monitor that tracks calories, has a pedometer, and is water resistant 50meters. I'm excited! Come summer I can swim laps and know how much calories I burnt! And I can count my steps on my watch. :D
    The price, IMO was really not bad

    That sounds great! My HRM work in water too, but I have yet to try it. Couting steps would be nice, even if it was just for the workout, I would know how far I traveled in Zumba!
    I will make better effort to wear my pedometer in Feb.
