So, i'm not new at lifting. I've been lifting for about a year off and on, but started a heavier lifting program in October. I lost the trainer i had through my employer (they laid him off), so i got interested in NROL because i felt i was lacking direction. i like that i don't have to think about what my workouts are going to include for the day/week/etc.

I've been reading alot of the posts and people are not seeing their weight drop. I still have 30 lbs. to lose. I'll be gaining muscle and therefore i may gain weight (right??) I'm a little concerned about eating at maintenance. So my question is............is this program meant for folks who are closer to their goal weight??

This program is for every BODY. Check this link out:

If you just diet to lose 30 lbs., you have to remember you are losing TONS of muscle, at the same time. Strength-training, just as you have been doing for the last 18 months, will help prevent that muscle loss.

(PS - that thread is my NEW favourite inspriation for this program....I'm posting that thread EVERYWHERE!!)

Haha! Hey Beeps, I swear i just opened that link before i came back to check this topic. i found the link on the Stage 1 topic that is tacked at the top of our group forum.

i guess after reading through some posts, it seemed like this program may be geared towards body recomp and not fat loss. I DO realize i would be losing muscle if i dropped another 30 lbs. And honestly, i don't really care about the scale, i care about my clothes and my reflection in the mirror. I took measurements Sunday night and will compare again when stage 1 is complete.

I'm going to stick with it. I LOVE lifting and this program is similar to what i was doing anyway, just with more direction. Plus, it's nice to compare notes with other folks who are doing the exact same workouts as i am...
