Hello:-)
How often is everybody working out in a week on maintenance? Same as before goal?
What type of workouts? doing weights?
I am doing 3-5 cardio sessions a week(mostly dvds) walking the dog. Weight/strength traing 2 x week.
Looking to change up my routine. Would love to hear what others are doing.
Have a great week:-)

For me healthy maintenance is 5-6 days per week with one or two days of intense exercise the rest moderate. I like all exercise but I usually can't get to many classes except weekends due to crazy job schedule.0

I'm switching from 6 days a week to 4 days.0

6 days a week. Doing Insanity right now. With being old, short and little I have to exercise to eat.0

I run 4x week and strength train 3x week. I would prefer to be able to work out EVERY DAY so I could eat more, but my body just needs some rest & I want to spend time with my family. The 4x week is a good balance, for me.0

I'm working out more now than I did during my weight loss time. Strange, I know. But I'm just trying to lose some more fat and just get lean, without losing too much more overall weight. If I lose much more weight I'm in danger of losing muscle mass.
So I'm exercising about 3 to 4 times a week. Mostly strength training and some walking and other cardio.0 -
I workout five times a week, I do strength training three times a week and the rest is cardio0

I workout 4-5 days a week. 3 days I go hard, the other two days I do light cardio.0

I didn't have that much to lose, about 20 pounds, and my exercise regimen has really been the same throughout my entire journey (before, during, and after). So, for me, it was the calories (or, more accurately, portion control) that were my issue. I run a lot, which means I was eating A LOT. I found it very tough to reduce calories and maintain peak fitness (ultimately, I was not able to, hence my move to maintenance even though I could shed another 5 or so). I run 5x a week, take complete rest one day, and usually cross train (or rest) another day.
I've been in maintenance for a few weeks now and am having the same doubting issues that everyone on maintenance goes through re: regaining the weight. Sometime during the journey exercise became a way in which I would allow myself to eat more, and now if I don't exercise I kind of freak out about eating what seems to me to be a lot of calories (since I am still counting as I learn how to maintain).
I don't like this. Exercise (specifically running) for me has never been about calories and now it is. I feel like I'm carrying another bag in hands that are already full of bags. If I eat something, I think I'll have to run X more minutes to make up for it. I'm afraid to not count calories, and whenever I take a needed day off, my head plays games with me (ummmm, like today).
Does this pass?0
