Today and yesterday have not been great days for me food wise. I haven't been snacking but my meals haven't been at all healthy. I plan to change that tomorrow.

What are everyone else's plans as far as diet goes?

What are the best foods to eat to tone/shape up rather than drop a lot of weight?

Changing what you eat is a lot more difficult than just changing portions sizes, at least it was for me. I was able to reduce my portion sizes to "normal" sizes easily, but making the right food choices, I'm still working on that. The big thing is still watching your calorie intake. Even if you arent eating ALL healthy food, keep within that calorie goal and you are still going to be ok.

I have my food diary open for friends to see. You are welcome to add me and view my diary if you just want to see how someone else is doing things. I often look at my friends diaries to get more ideas for meals and see how they do things when I see they are having great weight loss weeks.

Protein is the best thing to have for both toning/shaping as well as dropping weight. It helps build lean muscle mass which the more you have of it, the more calories you burn. After that is good fruits and veggies, especially veggies that are high in dietary fiber which aids in digestion, keeps you regular, and helps you feel "full" or satisfied longer after your meals.
Spinach is one of the best foods for your body overall as it has the most beneficial properties of all foods.
