I think it's great for some people, but in my opinion it's not exactly the most complete workout. It's good because it's better than doing nothing, and of course, there are no men around which takes the pressure off for most women.
Now for the cons- Curves has very limited equipment, and you basically do the same routine everytime. I would worry that I'd get bored, and also that I'd plateau from doing the same thing over and over.
My advice to you is to compare the price with other gyms in your area, you might get more bang for your buck somewhere else. Most gyms also have a pool, offer classes, and other amenities that Curves doesn't.0 -
Meh....I'm not a fan. The one and only time I did Curves was about 2 months after the birth of my 2nd child. I was overweight and recovering from a c-section. It was exactly the type of post-surgery out-of-shape workout I needed. After about 4 weeks I was bored to death and feeling much more able to work out fully. I don't think I'd even break a sweat doing a Curves workout today.0

Not a good workout if you are even remotely in shape, plus the same thing over and over will prevent you from making progess. There are a lot of gyms with way more options for the same or less money.0

I have been there for almost a year no but Im very inconsistent and I guess that "maybe" that is a good reason why i was not getting substancial results... in March have to make a decision (since my anual membership will expire) if I should stay there or switch to another gym... i need more discipline... I dont know how to do be a disciplinary person... I'll keep trying and after Feb ends I hope I have made up my mind...
Thanks for your opinion!!!!!0 -

If you are looking for discipline...join a gym that has personal trainers. It will cost about $30-$40 a session but even if you could squeeze out about $100 for like 3 sessions...I think you would find this very stimulating! Also if they work at the gym they will give you tips/pointers later for no fee. If they set up a program for you- they will be around sort of keeping an eye on you...that was enough to keep me motivated. I wanted my trainer to be proud of me and that was a good reward.0
