hi everyone. I'm new here. I joined your group because there were no other groups that fit 'my description.'. I'm a tiny woman who as an infant had her duodenum removed due to blockages. I'm 36 now but I have extensive scar tissue from that surgery and another in 2008) and adhesions from endometriosis on my small intestines. I live with almost chronic intestinal blockages (read: pain/nuasea all day) I recently began eating very very small meals practically every two hours. The food I eat Is soft and low in fiber. A nutritionist told me that I'm eating like a gastric bypass patient!! This new way of eating has made all the difference!!! I need support though in the fact I mourn for the food I used to eat!!! I am using this tool to monitor my fiber and sodium. Im starting to realize though that I never meet my 1200 calorie limit. I'm always 400 short!!!! That is upsetting. I am never hungry as I eat often but I'm afraid if I try eating more I'm going to be in pain. Any suggestions?

Hi
You have had your medical problems, haven't you? I am so sorry. It does sound like you are eating like a GB patient. It is very hard to get in adequate calories even with constant eating. I am a fairly new bypasser and I am no where near my calorie needs. You sound like you are getting there though. If you are not doing it already, you might try to add in a protein shake or 2 daily. That should cover your calories and give you good protein.
I know what you are saying about mourning what you can't eat anymore. I would sell my toes to be able to eat bread!!!
This is a good site and you will get a lot of support here even if you are tiny (I forgive you). No one is judgemental and I am pretty sure you will find someone who is experiencing something similiar to what you are.
Welcome. Friend me if you would like. I tend to say what I think but I mean well.
