Why are we in this group

I am just going to copy and paste my edit of the group description here, I am doing so in case you want to comment on it or have any questions.
This is a group for 12wbt current and former members.
We probably won't be chatting much here on these discussion boards as we do enough chatting on the 12wbt forums and in our facebook groups.
However, the real value in belonging to this group is being able to find like minded people on mfp to support you on a daily basis on your news feed on your home page on mfp.
So head to the members' list for this group or to some of the threads on these discussion boards and send some friend requests. As of 24/1/12 we had 92 members. You may like to be friends with all 92 or just 2 people or somewhere in between. Your choice.
Once you are friends with someone you get updates daily on each other's progress and you can leave short, or long, comments for each other. Of course we will be encouraging and supportive, but if you want your friends to give you a kick up the proverbial if you slack off, let them know so they don't worry about offending you by doing so.
You can also choose to have your food and exercise diary open for your friends to see.
We understand that the 12wbt isn't a crash diet - that it is in fact a total lifestyle change.
In this group we will encourage each other to stick to the 1200 calories a day and work towards exercising to burn 500 calories 5 days a week and 1000 calories during a SSS.
You can change your mfp settings so your daily calorie intake goal is 1200 calories.
