Just throwing this out there to see what you all think. I divide the 84 days that I am doing BFL into 3 different series if you will. Then I change my exercises for each series, sort of, I uses the same exercise group in the first and last series. So if I group my exercise and lable them with letters it looks like this, A, B, A. I do this so my muslces don't get "comfortable" in doing a single exercise for 84 days.

When I was young I had a certain set of exercises that I did every workout and never changed them. I say little change then, I as gained more knowledge I decided to mix things up a little and started noticing results. So this week is the last week of series A and I will be doing exercises in series B next week. I don't make big changes, for example, for chest I will be going from flat barbell bench and flat flies to incline barbell bench and incline flies.

If you have looked a P90X you know this is kinda the concept there, he talks about avoiding musle memory. Anyways what do you all think?

Everything I read for real lifters indicates that you need to switch up your workouts to keep your muscles "guessing." Of course in BFL we already increase weights, but I also vary my exercises pretty much every week. I rarely do two workouts in a row exactly the same. I am always doing research in my mags and finding new strategies that I want to try that hit the same muscle groups in a different way. If you do something new you may feel a different burn, which I think is a good thing.

Totally agree! I increased my weight on week 3, then flip flopped my excercises on week four. I plan to do this 3 times during the 12 weeks. I think it makes a huge difference. I can't imagine doing the same excercises the whole 12 weeks. I know my body well enought that it would be laughing at me. "Nope we are use to this, we are not changing any more."
