I am so sore after Day 2 yesterday and am lacking motivation to do it today. I stayed up too late working on our taxes so I am also exhausted. It is rainy and dreary here today so that doesn't help either. I have 1.5 hours until I have to pick my daughter up from preschool and I could spend that whole time right here in front of the computer. What motivates you to just get it done everyday??

I guess my motivation is just that if I DON'T do it every day, it's WAY too easy to quit completely. And, I feel like I have to do it every day to hope to see the kind of results I've seen on others. I don't know if it will happen (seeing the dramatic results others see) but if I don't really try, I can't expect to see them!

    GOOD LUCK!!!!

I'll be struggling next week with it. I'm going on a trip to visit my sister. I'm taking Jillian with me, but the hard part will be the travel days. I'm not sure how I'll get my workout in on Thursday. I think I'll have to get up at 5:15 am to do it...and well, that's damn near impossible.
  • I have the same problem im so sore right now i really don't want to do it, but i am going to make myself. I could easily just not do it and go lay on the couch... But hey its only 30 min right.... WE CAN DO IT....:) Good Luck!!!

Same for me, I know that if I stop or just say 'ah it's only one day' I just won't catch it back up again. I don't motivate myself really - on the days I don't want to do it I just press play on the DVD and don't give myself the option to talk myself out of it!

    JUST DO IT!!

Thats what I have to tell myself cause every day I could come up with 100 reasons why I dont want to work out. Todays excuses....

    Barely any sleep last night
    not feeling so well
    sore
    ran errands ALL day
cranky, clingy five month old who takes power naps that dont even last the time of the work out

But I put him to bed, took a deep breath, strapped on my tennis shoes while wearing pajamas and did the work out! I had to close my eyes at some points just so I could keep going. And even though I dont want to do it, every time its over I think..wow that wasnt long at all!

Illness is what gets me! I made my Christmas cookies on 12/17. Then on 12/18 I got sick. I was sick for about 8 days (just a cold, but I have immuno issues, so when I do get sick, it's pretty bad - luckily happens maybe once every other year). When I'm sick, I eat comfort food. Whenever I want. Then it was Christmas. I FINALLY got back on track after the new year. Getting back into exercising was so hard. I was up to 5 days a week before those 2.5 weeks. I gained 6 pounds during that time (that took me twice as long to lose the first time). Finally in January I got back on track and am now back to my pre-Christmas weight. Ugh....

To address you're power napping baby, what time does he go to bed? My first was like that until I realized he was going to bed too late. I was putting him down at 8 and he'd get up at 6:30 then take 2 or 3 half an hour naps each day. I switched his bedtime to 6:30 and he'd sleep 6:30 to 6:30 and take 2 1.5 hour naps! It was a miracle. I recommend the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. It talks about how much sleep our kids really need!

I got my coffee in me and was still so tired. I didn't do anything until picking my daughter up. Once I got her, I went to pick up my farmer's market basket, came straight home and did the workout. Day 3 is down in the books!! Planning for an early bedtime tonight!
