Hi all,
I trained with my trainer yesterday morning then
I went to a boxing class yesterday evening for the first time and i am a little sore today from all of the exercise:(
I went swimming this morning and burned 270 calories...There is another boxing class tonight that i really wanna go to but im afraid i will hurt myself if i am sore like i am...Any opinions? The class is pretty intense

thanks:)

Sore as in 'I found muscles I didnt know I had!?" or sore as in "OMG they really kicked my *kitten*, I can hardly move!"....

first things first - stretch stretch stretch stretch (see a pattern?).... always make sure that you are doing a good warm up and cool down after exercising... its so very important...

Second... from what you typed, this looks like day-2... I dont see why you couldnt do it.... but again, always remember rule #1....

I say go for it! Just dont push yourself so hard at this class at first. I bet once you warm up; you will feel looser and get a better workout in. Remember to stretch and drink lots of water. EAt a banana before you go. The potassium will help prevent any leg cramps. Have Fun!

You are always going to get sore when starting a new workout program. Go ahead and keep going as long as it's just muscle soreness and not anything else. Proper hydration and nutrition can lessen the soreness, as well as stretching as someone mentioned.

Be careful not to do too much...more exercise doesn't equal better results. Workout smart not more!

Not a professional, but I think it depends on how old you are and how much you have worked out in your life.

For example, I have been active my whole life so now, at 48 I find it hard to do a big workout every day without hurting myself(limping, muscle pulls, etc...)

Several people I know that did nothing, I mean NOTHING, until they were 40 are running marathons every month, so go figure.

Get there a little early and do a good 10 minutes on the elliptical for a warm up and then stretch, you'll warm up your muscles and should be good to go for you class.
