Hey everyone,

Let me start off by saying... I am not a fan of boiled eggs, wait, is egg salad and tuna salad made with Mayo a good protein)

I need ways to get some more protein in my diet. I like things I can just grab and eat (ie Cheese, celery filled with cream cheese, etc)

So, what are you favorite high protein/low carb

Thanks everyone, can't wait to get some good ideas;)

Tuna Patties (made with 1 x drained can of tuna, 2 tbsp cream cheese, 1 egg & seasonings- let sit to firm in fridge for 1 hour then fry on a medium heat for 6 mins per side to make tuna burgers)

Mixed marinated olives (even better with feta cheese!)

    Pork rinds/scratchings

Sugar free Jelly pots (jello in US?)

Flax Muffins (See MIM thread for recipes)

    Beef Jerky/ Biltong

    Beef broth

    Ham & lettuce roll ups

I'm severely lactose intolerant, so cheese is a problem for me too.
    My staple snacks are:

    Almonds
    pork rinds
    boiled eggs
    Protein bars (in a pinch)
    peanut butter

I am interested in new snack ideas too.

for those who like beef jerky -- what brands do you get? Some of them seem to have a lot of added sugar?

I like Obertos thin beef jerky because it only has 2 carbs per serving.

DH likes Jack's Links Beef Jerky<--for the lady asking for brands (and it's one of the cheaper one's we can find too w/lots of protein)

Low sodium ham wrapped around a sweet or dill pickle

Celery w/peanut butter (or LC cheese wedges)

    nuts/seeds
deli meat roll-ups or rolled in lettuce - I bring mayo/mustard to dip in. I like it wrapped around a pickle too, but kinda messy at work!
egg/tuna/chicken salad (eat with a fork!)
cottage cheese - get the full-fat, less carbs
peanut/almond/other nut butter with protein powder or occasionally flax seeds/meal mixed in (again, eat with fork/spoon)
    carrots/celery & dip
    pork rinds/cracklins!!
olives (i found some blue cheese stuffed green olives..yum!)
    avocado
