Hi! My name is Laurie and I'm about 6 1/2 weeks out from my gastric sleeve surgery. I came on board here after a recommendation from a friend. I am really lousy about getting my calories and liquids in every day. I absolutely LOVE the sleeve and don't regret it for a moment. Who would've thought remembering to eat and drink would be so hard? haha

hi, I am 14 days out of RNY surgery. Here's a hint I use. I am still home on medical leave so this is easy....don't know how I'll modify this when I return to work. I have a portable oven timer. When I take my last bite of food, I set the timer for 45 min. When it rings I begin to prepare my next food - what ever I've already planned for. I have to be careful w/sugar - no more than 12g a meal. So I will spread out foods like soup and milk/yogurt which are higher in sugar. That's where the timer really helps. Plus I have to cram in 80g of protein a day.
Hope this idea sounds good for you. I'll be watching the posts on this thread for other ideas.

I had lap band beginning of Jan. I have about as much to lose as you. This group has been very helpful and motivating. Congrats on your life style change.0

I had Lap Band Surgery March 2011. I don't regret it for a moment. I still have a ways to go but I see constant progress and I feel great!0
