Surgery soon!

After 2 years of injury, and 2 operations, I am finally having what should be my final surgery!
The initial problem was a hernia. But when a second lump appeared, the surgeon diagnosed it as an incompetant valve in my vein (saphena varix). I have waited an entire year from the first confirmation that there was another lump, so I am ecstatic to finally have surgery!
And a bit apprehensive, of course, since one of the two previous surgeries was not only a failure (they cut the wrong place!) but also resulted in a major infection that landed me in hospital for an entire week.
I know that I will not be entirely 'free' once I've had surgery - there will be the recovery period, and I do have to be careful not to develop another hernia in the weak area - however, I will be SO much more capable and hopefully able to return to my full life again!
