does anyone do this? I've been doing this and the set up kills my wrists.

its just poor wrist flexibility probably. Push presses don't bother me too much, but the initial clean gets me when i let the bar roll back to my shoulders.

Work on just your wrist flexability to start off. Set the bar about chest high with some weight so it doesn't move. Then, with the bar still in the rack, set up like its at the top of the clean. start with just one hand at a time, REALLY lift those elbows, hold it for a few seconds, then release. repeat switch sides repeat, do both sides. Work your way up so you can spend more time in the clean position, 1 hand and both hands.
