I did Insanity workout consistently from January 2011 until August 2011. I just kept following the routines. It's an awesome awesome workout. I would burn up to 900 calories (wearing a heart rate monitor). I was exhausted afterward. I only lost 10 lbs  but I knew I was stronger physically. What I love about the workout is that it is cardio and resistence. You use your own body for weight resistence so there is no need to purchase equipment. It takes about 45-55 minutes in your own home (very convenient). I highly recommend this workout and I think when I'm back on track I may even purchase turbo fire. Insanity is difficult but you have to modify it for yourself. I know even two months into it I was doing "girl pushups". I just followed his calendar and did the best I could.

I'm not a good source for you today. I've been experiencing some bad hypothyroid symptoms and am waiting for my endocrinologists report. Let me know what you think of Insanity.

    Thanks for sharing!
So, I'm about Halfway on the Insanity Program. Currently on the Recovery Week. I've only lost 2 pounds and 3 inches. So Sad (darn your Hypo). And I had a 2 week break in between due to a spranged ankle which I probably gained weight from and lost it when I started back up. Anyways....But like you said, I do feel much stronger. I can do regular pushups now! I surprise myself how much I can do now. I've also was told that the second half will be harder and more intense and most people lose more weight on the second month. We'll see, I'm looking forward to finish Insanity and to post the results next month!

I'm so glad you are doing it! I plan on starting after our spring break. I sprained my ankle too!! I've been doing alot of reading and sprains seem to be frequent with us hypo people. I did mine while walking the dog on New Years Eve (It's funny because everyone thought I was celebrating early, which I wasn't). My ankle is still sore but I'm able to run a good 2-3 miles.
I also broke my heel! All on the left side - which I favor.
Have you noticed any swelling in your ankles at the end of the day (especially on days you work out?).
Also are you doing the cardio abs on certain days? I've been doing that dvd periodically combined with other workouts. It doesn't exhaust me but my abs feel stronger after doing it.

I have not done it, but without knowing if you have adrenal fatigue or reverse T-3, it's hard to say if Insanity is good for you. I love, love, love intense exercise but sometimes it puts more stress on your systems that are already struggling to cope. People with hypo tend to have vitamin deficiencies (iron, ferritin, Vitamin D) as well as adrenal issues - cortisol.

So, for now, I've back ed down to a more moderate exercise -- strength training - slow reps with more weight, rather than fast reps with light weight... as well as yoga, pilates and walking. I'll go back to the rough stuff when I know my body can cope with the stress.

I spranged my ankle from running too. But I do have low calcium so I know my bones are not as strong yet. Still taking my vitamins C+D. It now swelling anymore. I gave it 2 weeks off, no workouts at all for the healing process, its okay now. Still a little sore if I bend it a certain way, so I'm still wearing a brace while working out, just in case.

Best to stick with moderate exercise for a little while until you heal and not risk re-injuring yourself. Even walking is great - looks like you might have a beach to walk on!!

 I did Insanity about 7 months ago, me and my hubby made it about 6 weeks. We felt so much healthier but omg we were so out of shape we felt like we were going to die. We should of stuck with it but we didn't. Maybe if we were in better shape we would of kept going and then we would see some results. We are also in our mid 40's.... I just started the 30DSHRED.. good luch with those frog jumps.... lol

lol at the frog jumps. Yes the name says it all "INSANITY". LOL
I'm in my late 20's and its hard for me! Yea i'm looking forward for month 2 next week. You should keep on going. I know its intense and insane but you can also take a brake to catch your breath and keep pushing forward. Let me know how you like 30DS, I was thinking about doing that next after I finish.
