Hi guys,

Ok so since most of us are back in school i was wondering what you guys do for healthy snacks while you are on the go. With work, school and an internship I find it hard to get in enough calories in the day that I need to be safe. I try to use healthy bars during the day but after a while it gets boring. So what are some of your to go to snacks or creative snack ideas that you use when you are too busy to eat during school?

  • Hi!

I have a really busy schedule as well so I always make sure that I have plenty of easy snacks on hand/in the fridge that I can just grab and toss in my bag. I personally like....

    Low fat string cheese
    Almonds
    Hardboiled Eggs
    Chiobani Yogurt
Baby Carrots, Peppers, Cucumbers etc; with those to go hummus packs
    Apples
    Banannas
    Wheat thins
My favorite thing to eat in class is two slices of whole wheat bread spread with 2 tbsp hummus and some lettuce. Sounds weird but it is really filling and tasty! Quiet and not too smelly either haha

    I hope these help!

I know how hard it can be to eat healthy with classes and such. Bubblegoose mentioned some great ones that I try to have too! Here are some other ideas that I eat too:

    -Granola
    -Fiber One granola bars
    -Special K bars
    -Special K fruit crisps
    -Raw veggies
    -Strawberry slices
    -Rice cakes
    -Emerald nut blends
    -Kashi cookies
    -Any fresh fruit, really
    -Fat free yogurt
    -Pretzels

I try to find stuff that's higher in fiber to make me feel more full!

    I like to snack on:

    Apple or banana
    Almonds
    String cheese
    Greek yogurt
    Turkey slices
    Carrots, cherry tomatoes, snap peas
    Larabars
    Popcorn

I usually pair a protein and a carb together:
Veggies with humus or string cheese
    Greek yogurt and berries
    Apple and turkey slices
    Banana and peanut butter/nuts
