Juicing - How do I count it?

I started juicing again to up my greens intake. In order to log this into my diary, I simply added all of the whole foods that i put through my juicer. Is this a good way to do it? I feel like the values are probably wrong because I am only consuming the juice yields and not the pulp. Any insight or advice you can lend will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't have any advice but I am going to try juicing and would like to see any answers to your question.0

I posted this topic in three places and got no good answers. I think that I am going to start measuring fluid ounces of the juice that is yielded from each fruit/veg and then try to find nutritional values for just the juice. If I find a good resource for that data I will post it here. In the meantime I am documenting the whole food and I just keep in mind that my actual caloric & fiber intake is lower than what my diary says.0

There are some juice recipes in the database but I'm not sure where they all came from. I was going to use the full nutrition info for the whole vegetables assuming I was getting the majority of the nutrients and the leftover cellulose isn't digestible. I'm not 100% comfortable on that approach either. Please update us when you figure it out. I'll keep looking too.0

Dr Esselstyn says don't juice!
I say if you like it and it's the only way to get those greens in, go for it!
I'd log the calories the same as the raw stuff, and just don't add any fiber. Juicing ruins the fiber.0 -
Just an FYI, Drs. Essylstein, Fuhrman, and Mc Dougall are all against juicing. You could blend your greens with water n a blender and drink the pulp with the juice, that would be healthier. You might want to go on the Mc Dougall website and search for this topic to get more info. Good Luck!0
