when counting how much water you drink, is it alright to add diet sodas, iced tea, and coffee, as long as they are caffeine free? sometimes I have a hard time drinking plain water.

In the past I have asked the same and got different answers from different nutritionist. Some are die-hard and only want pure water and others want any fluids pop, coffee, tea as long as u include some pure water in there somewhere. WW just changed that too when I was in it. They initially only wanted water but then started to include other liquids. I think we all know though that all pop would not do. Slurp slurp! Drink on!

thanks for the info. Think I'll drink as much water as I can, but not feel quilty if I include a can of soda or iced tea as water intake .

I know this is an older post, but I wanted to mention something great we found! I hate drinking plain water, and loathed it even when I was in the military. But when my husband deployed, he got hooked on those little drink mixes. When I decided to quit soda-again- he went and found caffeinated drink mixes at walmart! They do have aspertaine-but so do some sodas. And one packet (one per water bottle) is only 10 calories! Thought I'd share for anyone else who hates water. They also have non caffeinated ones and teas!

I buy those packets of kool-aid for water bottles also. Lately i've been making 2 qts. of sugar-free kool-aid, and adding stevia as a sweetener. I love using stevia rather than splenda.
