So with February comes valentines Day and my birthday...does anyone else have issues with this like me? I have been "dieting" more striclty since the beginning of the year and then V-day sneaks up and there is tons of chocolate (my favorite) and candy EVERYWHERE!!! Of course I also teach at a childcare so the children all give me valentines and bring in snacks...I try to limit myslef to only one treat a day but I know as the day gets closer it will get harder!!!
Oh yeah and then birthday celebrations...hello...I like to celebrate (i.e. imbibe in a drink or seven :drinker: ) any other former dropouts have this issue or am I just weak...

Around my house, from Christmas to Easter is one LLLLOOOONNNNGGGG string of holidays, birthdays, and reasons to eat chocolate (my favorite too). After recovering from Christmas and finally getting all the festivity foods out of the house, my DH's bday comes along at the end of Jan. My daughter's and mother's bdays, plus my daughters anniversary, join Vday in Feb. Younger son's bday is in early Mar. By the time Easter finally arrives, I could probably pass for the Easter bunny myself :ohwell:
I teach high school, so I don't have it quite as rough as you at work. Try to avoid as much of it as you can, but if you break down, don't beat yourself up about. Every day starts with a clean slate -- the past is in the wake of the boat! If you have the time to get in extra workouts, maybe you can burn up some of those extra calories.
Good luck!!0
