Ok, I am feeling a little discouraged. After talking to my fitness instructor my what I thought was a 9lbs weight loss for the month is actually a 6lbs weight loss. My sisters and I am participating in a Rapid weight loss program and so far they have lost 16 and 10lbs. The goal for the program is to loss 5-10 per week and so far I am way below target.

I think the feeling of discouragement comes with the journey. We have pitfalls and setback but should always stay the course! Though you didn't loose what you thought you did, you did LOOSE and that is great in itself! You really put up a great number and should be proud of your accomplishment! Great job nishnu08!!!!

You may be "below target", but you are doing an excellent job! Losing weight and making a lifestyle change is a SLOW process. Give it time, you'll get to where you want to be. Six pounds lost is AWESOME! Be patient and stay the course. Your hard work is definitely paying off!

The thing to remember is you are making progress. You said the goal for the program is to loss 5-10 per week. You made it. Everyone gains and loses weight at their own pace. Have you tried drinking more water? Eating more calories? I know it sounds crazy but the days I do these I seem to burn more fat. It gives my body more to work with to do it's job of losing the fat and toning up. If you eat more, work out more. It balances out. Hope this helps. Oh, don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat. You could be losing the fat and replacing it with muscle. Muscle helps burn that fat too, so relax. Take a breath and remember regardless how long it takes to get to your goal you are making progress and doing something good for you.
