Incline on treadmills

i was reading that if running on treadmills, it would be better to run on an incline of 1 or 2
any thoughts / suggestions..

    I've heard the same thing, and use at least a 2% incline when using the treadmill. This has worked well for me. The theory is that this compensates for the lack of wind resistance which you would experience while running outdoors.
  • Hmmmm. I haven't heard that but it sounds like it might kill me!! LOL I do walk at an incline as part of my cardio routine.

    When I was in a running club the running coach recommended we use an incline while on the treadmill. I have decided to not use an incline until later in the program. I don't want to damage my knee. I have recovered from a knee injury which occurred last year.
