8 1/2 years post-gastric bypass, still struggling

I had gastric bypass surgery 8 1/2 years ago and in that time I have averaged about 130lbs of weight loss. I'm experiencing some major nutritional deficits and am using myfitnesspal as a tool to help me keep track of what I'm eating.

Recently, I've gone through iron infusion therapy to correct severe iron deficiency anemia. The good news: the treatment is working and I'm feeling great for the first time in years. The bad news: the anemia was keeping me thin.

Now I'm back to having to journal and work out for the first time in ages. I'm learning again and trying to get back to taking better care of myself. I would like to lose about 40lbs in the next year.

I'm posting here so that I might get in touch with folks who are many years post-op and struggling or to be a resource to anyone who is having problems or has questions about the roux-en-y procedure and life after it.
