Hi! Anyone following Low Carb in the UK?
I have been told I need to eat more carbs to lose more each week as I am not eating enough, I was just wondering what sort of food everyone else in the UK is eating as we don't have Low Carb food here like you can get in the US.
Thanks

Hi! Yes I have used Avidlite and Lowcarbmegastore before but the food is quite expensive, then you have postage on top. I brought a box of Carbquik which can be used for baking and it cost about £13, for a box of 'flour'!!? lol0 -
I am a UK low carber. There are low carb products to be found, just no the US versions. here is my list of LC products and where to find them:
Ground almonds- from any supermarket. I use these as a thickener or as a 'breading' agent along with parmesan cheese for pork escalopes/ chicken kiev etc.
Pork crunch from Morrisons- Like quavers but made with pork fat (rinds), these are IMO sooo much nicer than pork scratchings. You can also whiz these into a powder to make breading too.
Ground Flax/Linseed (for making flax muffins)- Holland & Barret, the brand is 'Linwoods'
Aspartame free sweetner- Asda
Truvia/Stevia (natural sugar free sweetner- Tesco, waitrose
Sugar free cocoa powder- Asda, Morrisons
Shiritaki Noodles (AKA konnyaku/ yam noodles)- From amazon.co.uk or I get mine from my local oriental supermarket for £1 per pack.
Atkins bars/ Atkins chocolate bars/ Atkins Milkshake- Boots, Holland & Barrett, Tesco (Large stores or online)
Lemon/ vanilla/ raspberry/orange extracts (for flavouring yoghurt, cream, deserts, drinks, flax muffins)- Online or in larger Tesco's, Asda or Morrisons.0 -
