Fiber Supplement

HI There
I just set MFP to track fiber in my diet a few days ago, and my grams per day are about 1/2 of what they "should" be. I was kind of suprised given that I eat a lot of veggies. I decided to add in a few teaspoons of powerdered fiber supplement (Fiber Sure) to my coffee in the morning.
Do you think I should be doing that? Will this adversely affect the "low carb" approach?
I am not really constipated...but once in a while I guess. I drink plenty of H20 most days

Are you doing Net Carbs? I am working to get 9 different fruits and veggies a day, fiber has been around 20 to 25, net carbs around 30, no problems with constipation. You don't take iron do you, that can cause problems that way.
I think that, for me, the more of my essential nutrients I can get from food as opposed to supplements the better off I am.
Good Luck with it.0 -
I've recently started taking a fibre supplement (benefibre) more for appetite management though. A small spoon in water before breakfast, lunch and dinner. I find it helps me feel 'full' way longer. The first few days were not funny though (make sure you have a bathroom closeby).0
