Upper body strength

I just started level 2 yesterday and I find myself "phoning it in" a lot because my upper body strength SUCKS! Where as my lower body and core strength is pretty good. I feel like I'm not getting the most our of the workout because of not being able to hold a plank position for too long. So my question is: does anyone have tips on improving upper body strength? Or will it come naturally when I repeat level 2 over time?

I thinkg the more you do it, the easier it wil become, i started level one phoning it in on the push ups big time, and i am getting better and stronger, maybe do some at other times during the day?0
