Restaurants with GF menus have to keep the ingredients separate, they take measures to prevent cross contamination and in my experience they are often successful, restaurants that don't have a GF menu make me sick every time, because they don't keep the ingredients separate, the risk of cross contamination is off the charts.

I've learned to just carry a snack in my bag and sip some wine/water while everyone else eats.

dominos only has gluten free crusts.. They use all the same ingredients and utensils as regular pizza.. I have contacted them about this....Their explanation was the gluten free crust for people who are limiting gluten..

On the website it warns people with Celiac, gluten intolerance, and gluten sensitivity not to order the pizza. I was so sad.

i'm glad to hear all these Chicago suggestions; I'll be back there this weekend.

I just got this list from our local GF bakery:

    Mitchell's Fish Market
    Outback Steakhouse
    California Pizza Kitchen
    PF Chang's
    Uno's
    Eat n Park
    The Olive Garden
    Loving Hut
    Applebees
    Red Robin
    Moe's Mexican Grill
    Aladdin's
    Stone Pepper Grill
    Chipotle
    5 Guys Burgers
    Lone Star
    Bucca de Beppo
    Capital Grill

There is also a list of Pittsburgh-local places that sell GF items/menus.

I wonder if this is true for all locations. I called California Pizza Kitchen (Dallas, TX) last week to see if they offered GF pizza and was told that they had tried it "but it didn't work." She apologized and was very nice, and I appreciated that she was honest. We went Picasso's instead and it was fine. They had GF crust (10" size only) and a list of GF toppings.

For anyone living in or visiting Dallas, TX, we have found a few chains including Bonefish as well as many of those listed above have a GF menu, and there is a local restaurant called Company Cafe that has a few GF items on the menu including GF cakes that are delicious!
