Hi Elle here,

Believe it or not I did a million things this weekend!
I pushed myself to get some stuff done that's been on the burner done. So I've had this project going on in my living room since last September. Yeah since September. Started out like gang busters, sold all my furniture on Craigs list, threw out my curtains and gave what was left to charity. I was lucky enough to have my son rebuild my fireplace into a gorgeous new tiled contempory on all in black gray and stailness glas tiles with a gorgeous white mantle. So far all I've managed is a little spakle (putty) on the cracks on the walls. Than I gave up. always to tired with work and keeping up the house.
Well this weekend I finished all the ceiling baseboards and sanded the walls. I'm ready for the paint!

Feels so good to accomplish something, of course I ache in places I forgot I had from the squatting and rolling on the floor, not pretty I know. lol

I managed to cook, clean the usual stuff, and get my laundry done too.

I thought about all I accomplished last night as I crawled into bed and realized if I had'nt stuck to this diet and lost this 20lbs so far 1. physically, I would never have done half of it and 2. mood wise I would have cared less.

How was your weekend?

My weekend was pretty fab. Went on a couples' date with our sister and brother-in-law - my sister and I are usually really bad for each other, food-wise, so I was proud that we both ate conservatively. Then we went bowling - we are silly bowling nuts. It was so fun. Played seven games and I wasn't exhausted. I realized that even losing the 11 lbs or so I've lost so far has made it easier for me to move and do. Very encouraging!

Saturday we went to a Razorback baseball game (Go Hogs!) and spent a lazy evening together... My husband and I love to cook with each other so dinner was wonderfully fun. All in all, a sweet weekend. Of course, I'm looking forward to this coming one already! ;)

Didn't have too good a weekend. I had two assignments to do and we had no electricity for most of Sunday.
Food wise I did good though :-)

This weekend will hopefully be better.
  • I have discovered, that my teenage girls drive me to the kitchen for stress eating! I am going to have to find another way to deal with them.

Other than that, I had a pretty good weekend, we all played in the snow and got a little exercise, and enjoyed some racing on TV with my wonderful Hubby. Ate breakfast out on Sunday and went a bit overboard on calories, but still within the not gaining range.

Wish me luck for the rest of the week, feel a cold coming on!

good luck and take care of yourself!
I went through the teenage years and they're rough. Sometimes it's better to ignore them and not play into their drama.
Well, get some rest and keep us posted,
    Elle

ps I guess I posted a little too early this morning. My typing was awful! I looked like I'm dyslexic!

    Hi there!

I want to say first that I also have two teenage daughters. One is a Jr in High School and the other a freshman at Penn State University. My oldest still lives at home attending a local campus. Both have jobs. One drives. So Saturday we took the younger one to her job. My husband and I played plumber. I had a very tiny leak at the gasket of the spout of the kitchen sink. It was barely a leak... my husband is a pain with this type of thing. He is not a handy man by any means. Well, he broke the entire spout part. We had to buy a whole new assembly just to get that part. The origional one was only four years old. This took up most of Saturday. We did our grocery shopping at three places. My husband must have been a woman in another life...lol he loves to do groceries. We also had to go to the pet store for parrot food. We had dinner out at Eat-n-Park then had to go get my teenager at her girlfriends. So she came home with us and I had an extra girl. My oldest had to go to bed early for five am work. The younger one didnt care and was playing music loud. They had words to say it nice.

Sunday I slept in because I stayed up late watching the cooking channel. I love that channel. It doesnt make me want to eat. Wierd hugh? Iwent to the gym with my husband and had a nice workout. My younger teen worked then spent the day with my husband and me. She had a date but he ditched her last min. We went to Applebees and I was terrified when some old man was trying to park but hit the gas and slammed into the wall where I was sitting as I waited for a table. OMG was I shook up. I got a neck ache from it but I must have had an angel watching over me.

I did have my share of teenage drama. My younger daughters exboyfriend is again available. My older teen had an arguement with her sister and her long time boyfriend. I say so long as there is no blood..... leave them go. Funny listening to them sometimes...

  • Yes, those teenage girls can be funny--I would rather them annoy each other than me. My wonderful husband has this awesome gift, he can tune all 3 of us out and not have a clue what all just took place! I am trying to aqquire that gift myself.

I am proud to report I went to Mr. Gatti's for a work meeting yesterday and didn't entirely overeat like I usually do! Yay me!

Wish me luck tonight though, it is family movie night, pizza, pop and all 3 children in the house at once, 2 girls, 11 and 14, and our 15 yr old son!
