Starvation mode question

K so I'm posting this here because I don't want to deal with people eating like 2,400+ calories per day jumping my crap even more. I posted a question about my medication before so I don't wanna do it again on the boards lol.
I started taking Adderall again last Thursday (2/23/12) and I find it sooooooo hard to freakin' eat anything. It's been getting better but I either have no appetite what so ever and it feels like I'm just chewing on a shoe the entire time or I'm insanely nauseous around food. I have taken it before but it's been over a year. I can't remember if I ever got used to it or not since, at the time, I was stupidly embracing that fact that I had no appetite.
I've been able to eat certain things throughout the day the last few days and trying to make sure they are nutrient and protein packed, along with keeping up with at least 8-9 glasses of water and my vitamins. It's slowly been increasing since, if I'm actually hungry when I wake up, I will eat breakfast before I take it. I have also ceased doing vigorous cardio exercises until I can get back up to 1,200ish calories per day... which bums me out but I don't even want to know what happens if I do my typical 600-1,200 calorie burn like this.
My question is... have any of you gone into starvation mode at any point in your life? How long did it take to happen? How did you know it had occurred?
I'm wondering how long I have to work on forcing myself to get enough calories before my body ****s itself in the bootwah.
p.s. I've been studying well and getting 100%'s on my exams and assignments so far so at least it's working for uni.

I take Ritalin, and my body has adjusted to it. Years ago, 20 plus, I developed anorexia. When I became aware of it, I packed on the pounds bc I realized how terrible I looked. Well, they have stayed there and accumulated after pregnancies. Starvation mode is real, but I don't know how to trick my body from entering it. I try to stay at or under 1200 calories a day, and I do not eat my exercise calories anymore. It did not work for me.0

^i can not vouch for the accuracy of that article,
but, it makes some interesting points.
I do not think i have been in starvation mode,
and from the article above, it doesn't appear to be a valid concern for every person.0
