Yes, could someone please answer this. I'd really like to know too. I'm getting ready to start C25K and I'm nervous. My shin hurts when I run.0

Try not to slam your heel down first. Roll on the ball of your foot. Not sure if that makes sense but, you the the pressure of slaming your heel down could be cause stress on your knee. Check your pace, maybe slow down a little. I'd maybe consult your doctor.0

Be careful with your shins because it will get worse if you continue to run. I have had shin splints and they suck!! I went to a running store and had my gait analysed. I got some proper running shoes & it has made a world of difference. If I begin to feel any sort of pain/soreness, I slow my jog down & it goes away. I also ice my shins after my runs which helps a lot.0 -
Gait analysis is a must if you get shin splints as you may pronate while running/jogging i had mine done and bought the appropriate running shoes and had a huge improvement, also if your new to running or had a period away from running you can also get shin splints as your doing something to your legs which isn't natural as they haven't done this exercise for years LOL
After doing c25k I've had a 2 week lay off due to injury and this morning did have some shin pain, but it does get better go on youtube and search shin splints there's loads of exercises on there to relieve shin splints
and Happy running:bigsmile:0
