Tried this out tonight. It tasted good, but I need to find a better way to crush ice as I was shooting chunks of ice around and crunching through them when eating the fluff.

40 grams of unflavoured 80% Whey Protein
3 Tbls of Maple Syrup
Probably 1.5 Cups of Crushed Ice
.5 tsp Xanthan Gum

As I said it fluffed, but the ice really needed to be crushed better. Maybe next time

319 Calories 33 grams protein.

OH NO! It might, but I suspect the solvent aspect of the alcohol would cause problems. Only a guess though.

Modified it a bit this time 4.5Tbl maple syrup, 30 grams of the unflavored protein power, and 100 grams of liquid egg whites.

Used a bunch of it on top of a piece of chocolate cheese cake, then finished off the rest.

Whey or casein protein? And what brand of liquid egg whites?

It was a bulk unflavored whey protein, and the egg whites are the ones from Costco here in Canada, Golden Egg Just Egg Whites is the name I think.

    dry

That might be the issue. Most dry reds I have are very tannic, and I can't imagine that would go well with protein fluff. Even without that a little sweetness could make a big difference. Frankly I will just keep drinking my wine. I think I will learn from your experience and not try it in fluff.
