    Happy Friday!

Well my week has been very good. I have eaten out twice this week but I stayed within my points for sure and if I had not been in this challenge I probably would have eaten out more. I should have a fast food free weekend too.

How are you all doing? i see some of you are doing great!!

@ Mollie: Yea, I saw their healthier selection. If I ever go there again, I'll probably order from there. =)

@ Kat: Great job on the choices you made! 550 calories is pretty good!

@ Hearts Desire: You got it! =)

I have not been doing so well this so far this month...only had one day w/o fast food so far. I did not make good choices but I'm gonna try to change all that this weekend! Tomorrow is a new day!

    Have a great weekend everyone!
 You all are the BEST, this Challenge has been so helpful to me. Knowing if I push past the craving I get to add another day to mine is like getting a gold star on my Homework back in the day. Doing it for me but love the mental gold stars that make me realize all this is helping break the impulse habit.

Hope this continues to be a monthly Challenge. I came in on this in April so not sure it was something ongoing or something new this Month.

Cheers to all for committing themselves to this challenge... I'm having fun with it.

Oh and I do apologize for seemingly ignoring this thread, I forget it's out here and only check the other thread. I'll work on coming in here and chatting a bit.

    Warm hugs to all :flowerforyou:

I'm glad to have you on here as well! This is my second month doing this challenge and I too hope it will be ongoing! Thanks Mollie for starting this thread!

I'm off to a great start this week! No fast food so far! My husband and I have started cooking more at home now. Home food never tasted so great! =) Hope everyone has a good week!

Cooking at home is delicious, heathier and CHEAPER!!! Good job!!

So I had pizza yesterday and today I had some fries but I only ate 2 slices (usually I eat 3 minimum) and shared a side of fries with my husband (usually I would get my own fries).

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. I have a kid's birthday party tomorrow. I'm gonna try to limit myself to one piece of dessert! lol

Gah! Things have been crazy busy this month. I'm still only at 3 days with fast food though so I'm doing good. How's everyone else holding up?

I am doing good but I can't say I only have 3 days.lol!! But I have more days without FF if I was not doing the challenge. I can say the days that I have went to fast foods it has been one item. Like one day I went to Wendys and decided to have nuggets. Last night I went to Micky D's for 2 side salads and decided to have a small fry with no salt since I had 6 points left.

I will take that. That is why I had to come back here and minus a day out because fries are definitely FF.

    Happy hump day everyone!:flowerforyou:

Far better than I thought! I know a good part of it is checking in and getting to add another day. But I get paid next week and have money again ....deep sigh...... so, I'll be joining back in for May!! :blushing:

What I really think I'd like to do is if the FF urge comes to not order it but figure out the cost and put that FF money in a jar to save up for something fitness related (or new clothes or something along those lines). So to do this I have to be sure I have plenty of carbs etc. with me so I don't get low blood sugar and not make wise decisions. Hate the cost of it too, so not eating OR buying it sounds pretty good to me!:drinker:

Plus I've been having so much fun cooking up all sorts of things here at home that I likely wouldn't have experimented without this challenge. Nothing like a home cooked meal with fresh veggies etc. When you know it's healthy it just seems to taste even better.

Good idea on saving money for a fitness item and good job on cooking at home too!!

@ Hearts Desire: I'm also loving that idea about putting the FF money into the jar! I think I might to do that too! I might even get a big jar and put it in the kitchen so I can see it every day!

As for me, I'm getting back on track! It always seems like weekends are when I eat FF. My husband and I just get lazy and FF seems so quick and convenient! Oh well, just gotta move on. I hope to do better this weekend!

Next month, my husband and I are going to Hawaii for two weeks for our honeymoon! We are very excited because it'll be our first time going to Hawaii! It's definitely gonna be a challenge for me to stick to the no FF but I'm gonna try my best to make healthy choices and exercise while on vacation! =)

I am so jealous!! Have a wonderful honeymoon!!! There are plenty of ways to be active in Hawaii!! Enjoy!

Weekends are hard but this weekend should be fine with me. I have a weight goal I am trying hard to hit by May 1st so I have to be on point this weekend if I want to even come close:wink:

    Thanks Mollie :flowerforyou:
Yea I think it sounds like fun to add that to my challenge of tracking my money/fast food because we all know it's far from cheap.

Mollie I know I've shared how grateful I am that you began this challenge but I'll say it again, a big Thank you to you!!
You're doing great and think of all the money we're saving and how much better we feel.

    Meeaham,
I love your idea of putting the jar in the kitchen, awesome idea Girl!! How great you and your hubby are able to get away and have some fun together in Hawaii. Congrats for getting back on track, wow, trust me I KNOW how hard it is to do once I've gone on a fast food binge. By FF binge I mean to eat it one day, then suddenly you crave something different and then along come the simple carb cravings like CRAZY! It's so much better for me to stay away from candy and fast food or once again it'll take about 2-3 days for me to detox enough to get back in line. Seems to be that's how long my body needs to go with out the simple carbs to make me feel I'm back in control.

Oh and remember you only need to do your very best and get in 25 non FF days in Hawaii and depending on your idea of FF it might not be too hard. But it is your Honeymoon! This challenge will likely keep you more conscious of eating, I know it most definitely has me!

krunchykat... I simply ADORE your user name, it makes me smile each time I see it. How's the challenge going for you this week? Hang in there not many days left in the month, only 4 left!!

:drinker: We can SOooooooo do this Girls, we can finish out the month strong!:drinker:

Thanks everyone! My husband and I are very excited for Hawaii! I can't believe it's next weekend! =)

I didn't do so well on Friday and Saturday. Yesterday was my friend's birthday party and they had tons of food! I couldn't resist! Friday was a lazy day. But today is a new day and I'm gonna be good!

Hopefully everyone is having a great weekend!

I got to thinking about the FF jar idea and I think what I'll add to that is my 'wants'. Cut some strips of paper and write down for example "HRM", "Pilates Ring", things of that nature that I'd like to get but feel I need to purchase as I cut back on other spending. Say perhaps FF? :blushing:  Anyhow I might go ahead and toss the strips of paper in the jar and as time goes on figure out what I can afford from my million dollars spent on junk food in the past!

To add to hearts comments. There are so many healthier FF options out there and just being in the challenge is making us more mindful of our choices. I will not make my 25 days this month but I am satisfied with 21. It is much better than I would have been if I had not being mindful of FF choices.

BIG CONGRATS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS PARTICIPATED IN THE CHALLENGE THE WHOLE MONTH AND SUPPORTTED THIS THREAD. It 1st started out with 2, then 3, and I am sure we will keep adding to our little group each month. I have an article I want to post this week about clean eating but I am going to wait to post it to May/June conversation thread.

I will have May's challenge thread up Tuesday and May/June conversation thread up as well by Tuesday!

    Good job!!
