CLX Newbie with Questions

Hi all, hope someone can help me out.
I just finished Burn 2 of Week 1. (Can barely type right now, my arms are soo tired.) I have a few questions. One, during the workouts, I do feel like I am getting to failure when I should, but what really seems to fail me are my legs. I will be on rep 7 or 8 and know I can push my arms to get to at least 10, but it sometimes feels like my legs just cannot do anymore. I guess I feel like my legs get to "failure" before my arms, and I didn't even know legs could get to failure. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
Also, I know all about muscle soreness and what it means, but yesterday the sides of my lower back and the backs of my thighs were more sore than my arms. Is that normal or do you think I'm doing an exercise wrong?
I wanted to continue doing my 2nd round of C25K while also doing CLX so my schedule would look like this:
Day 1: Burn 1
Day 2: C25K
Day 3: Burn 2
Day 4: C25K, Abs, Burn Intervals
Day 5: Burn 3
Day 6: C25K, Abs, Burn It Off
Day 7: Rest
Is this too much? Yesterday I tried to go on my run, but I did about 5 minutes and just realized my legs were too sore from the previous day for me to complete the run. I can't compromise on C25K because I actually really enjoy it, so I want to fit it in somewhere. I just am afraid this might be too much. Where should I fit it in? Or should I wait a week while I get used to this CLX and then start up again? Advice please.
One last thing, I can barely do 4 push ups on my knees. Am I really going to be able to do a REAL push up in 3 months?
Thanks so much for any help, sorry so many questions.

Hi,
I finished the burn month last week. I started push this week. I will tell you what I experienced. This is my first time with the program too.
It was hard on the legs for many of the exercises. The lunges and especially the bowler's lunge killed me. But, my legs got real strong, real fast. In the last week of burn, I did not feel limited my legs at all. The leg strength has made my zumba workouts easier too! I would say, keep trying to do as many as you can. I think it is normal for your legs to be real sore. For your back, make sure your form is right. Really stick your butt out doing squats and make sure for the dead lifts that you are doing them properly.
I am not a runner, so I can't comment on the c25k.
As far as push ups go, I also could not do one good full form push up when I started. Now, I can do three! I do the rest on my knees. For, me the increased upper body strength has been noticeable.
Send me an add request if you want and we can follow up and see how you like it.

Thank you so much for your help! Today I was actually not as sore as the first day, so I was able to do the Burn Intervals and Ab Burner. Didn't get my run in, I think I'll probably add the running next week. I added as friend, hope you don't mind more questions! Thanks!!:happy:0

I am just finishing up week 2 of Burn. I think the only reason my legs aren't killing me is because I did a 12 week round of Turbo Fire before starting. So my legs are pretty used to doing mega squats. However, my glutes and hamstrings do get sore. You'll get strong really fast. Keep doing them and watch your form.
I was also doing C25K and was on week 7 when I started CLX. I quit doing it. I will go back to it when I'm finished with this program. I just felt like doing both was too much for me.
The push ups will come in time. Give your body time to improve on your upper body strength. Doing them on your knees isn't that bad anyway though. On your knees you are only pushing up something like 12% less of your body weight than you do on your toes. You're still getting a great workout on your knees.0 -
thanks! i think i may have to push pause on c25k. i really want to do it, i love getting outside everyday and do feel accomplished, i just think it might be too much, especially with that cardio video i did yesterday, burn intervals!
thanks for all your comments, though, they really helped!
i just finished burn day 3 week 1 today. thought it was easier than usual, probably because my legs didn't feel it as much! but i haven't been quite as sore as i was after that first day thank goodness!0 -
I am just starting this program tomorrow, so I can't give advice, but my planned schedule looks like yours- I am running approx 25k a week and plan on doing the clx strength 3 times a week. I hope it's not too much, because I am not giving up running, and I realllly need to start doing strength!0
