March 1 - I just finished Day 1 Level 1 of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (JM30DS). Whew!! I started it one week last month...but let myself get off of it. It helps to journal here. I read that it is BEST for our bodies to workout in the morning...and thought I would try it. I feel GRREAT!! My second commitment is not to eat any junk...candies, cookies or the like. I am WELL past those cravings, though I WAS going to try a gluten free cake mix from Betty Crocker and make a Banana Nut Cake. That is out the window for another 21 days. It all started with my indulging in Kettle Korn a few weeks ago. My system went haywire from the clean foods I had usually been eating...and I contracted a bacterial infection during my last trip to Las Vegas. My health tumbled and not feeling well, I thought...nope...no more (for now anyway). I love the Kettle Korn...but instead of having 3 cups 3 days in a row...maybe ONE CUP ... ONE day in a row  Anyway, fellow MFP'ers... Good luck in your Challenges. I will be here to cheer you on!!!!! :flowerforyou:

March 2 - I took my cholesterol blood tests yesterday with the GREATEST of ANTICIPATION. Hmmm...my bloodwork results did not cooperate with my expectations...LOL...however, I am TOTALLY satisfied with my last 3 months of hard work. The only thing I can surmise is my way of eating in the last TWO WEEKS of 3 months of hard work (sigh). To my own satisfaction I:

    1) Lost 13 lbs since I joined MFP 60 days ago
    2) Started taking Fish Oil for my cholesterol and arteries
    3) Gave up processed sugar for 59 days... BUT I binged with Kettle Korn to the tune of 3 cups for 3 days in a row during my time away at the Autorama a few weeks ago. I then came home and BOUGHT microwave Kettle Korn...and binged on TWO more bags...in two days (sigh)...Even I understand MORE than ever, my SUGARHOLIC tendencies.

Welll, here is to the next 3 months of better eating (ate tri-tip a great but fatty meat...also just before I took my test). Why can't I WAIT...until AFTER my tests...LOL...I WILL next time.

Thanks for listening to my rant! I AM proud to have all my BFF MFPers...for sure!!

    P.S. I just completed Day 2 JM30DS..Wooo Hooo!!

My entry for the day, ugh. I started out with not enough sleep. Hooray! I kept replaying a conversation my mom and I had last night about my grandma and it just made me... Sad, angry, guilt, loss, greatfulness. A very weird combo I know. My grandma has altziemers, and it's becomimg very hard. On these days of feeling out of control I tend to either undereat (which I did today) or I overeat. Something about feeling myself being hungry gives me a sense of control. So I went and worked out with my girlfriend and beat the heck out of that mat. Lol. Then I treated myself (and my family) to a night of no cooking and ordered pizza. Days like these will come, and that day will have an end just like this one. Looking foward to that new day tomorrow.

Wow, Tiffany, I am so sad to hear about your Grandmother, but proud of you for keeping your sense of control, and making a decision to treat you and your family because you could. Thank you for sharing! I am sending you good thoughts and prayers

Wtg on the shred! I have mine sitting on my dvd player! I've been wanting to start it up again, but my mom asked if she could borrow it and I know the minute I start it she'll come for it. You are insipring me to pick it up. Last time I made it 2 weeks, but then my hubs was injured at work and was home. In my silliness, I didn't want to do it infront of him. Great job on the sweets! The consumption of sweets isn't the issue, it's the AMOUNT of sweets we consume. In moderation and the attitude of "it's a treat" not a "right" will work just right. You are doing great!
