Single with kids - good or bad?

I would imagine it is easier for a single dad to date. However, as a single mom, I am going to be very judgmental about how they parent. If they only have them 4 days a month, if they are very hands off, if they have a poor relationship with the mother of their children...boom...I'm gone. A single dad might find it easier to date (if you mean getting laid) but might find it more challenging to find a meaningful relationship!

I totally am with you on this. I will say that my ex only has the kids every other weekend. (6nts a month) We have a horrible relationship because those things that caused me to leave still occur. He does talk to them every single day on the phone and attempts to stay in the loop of what's going on but, in reality, that's all for show and I'm sure others will eventually see straight thru it all. I wouldn't hold it against a guy if he only has the kids 2 weekends a month - as it may not be his choice. (As in MY case. I was in a verbally abusive situation and in no way would I allow my kids to be around him any more than necessary.) But in his perfect world, he'd like them 50% of the time and probably goes around telling people I'm keeping him from the kids. So there really are 2 sides to every story.
