Just had to share. Trying to multitask my workouts ;).
I admit that I love buying exercise equipment, and most of it does indeed get used.
All basic stuff, medicine balls, kettle bells, bosu, ball, jump rope, exercise bands.

Today I bought a 20 lb weigh vest and figure it will be good for walks etc.
Since I lost 28 lbs, this is still 8 lbs lighter than I was, so thinking.. I can burn calories at the same rate I did back a few pounds ago. (plus it will be a HUGE reminder, literally, that I will NEVER go back to that lifestyle)

Holy crap this is heavy :0.. Walking around the house, going up and down the stairs, doing laundry. How the heck did I ever get around? In my fantasy world I'm going to wear this for a month whenever I am "not in public", sleeping or showering. I may not make it beyond tomorrow but will be a fun experiment.

I also love workout equipment ! Would love to get my hands on some bumper plate, rings, and a real dynamix med ball. Anyway, wow! Talk about motivation for you, eh? What a great idea! I may have to steal it! Great to remind us of where we never want to be again!

I had this same experience not too long ago, but in a different way. I was trying to finish an aerobic video with my little boy attached to my legs and he wouldn't let me do it. So I just picked him up and danced along to the music. It wasn't long before I was completely whooped, and then I realized that my son only weighs 25 lbs, but I've lost 60! How did I ever carry that much extra weight on me?!

The weight vest is a good idea, and I (like you) love buying fitness equipment. However (unlike you) I never end up using most of it!

And congrats on almost 30lbs down!

today I did my kickboxing class and carried a 12 lb sand medicine ball for all my kicks, sprints, lunges, squats - basically everything that wasn't punching (and sometimes just tossed the M.B into the non punching hand)

was a HUGE core workout keeping my balance etc.
The instructor thought I was nuts (probably because I looked like i was close to the dry heaves) but again, only 12 lbs so in perspective it was "light".
