I was responding to a question from the friend this morning about fats and oils (PUFA's vs animal etc and why I love butter and bacon). Ended up surfing today for some references.

Landed at heart.org (AHA website)....
I noticed a large advertisement for canolainfo.org (the canola manufacturers and growers association)

They are a flippin sponsor of the american heart association (and the link even says "sponsor" - they don't even pretend to hide it)

How how how does this not appear to everyone on the planet as a conflict of interest?
It never ceases to amaze me how corrupt our food system is and how organizations like the AHA are considered "the gold standard" for health advice.

They come out and say, "wow trans fats should be avoided... but don't start eating saturated fats - use canola"

Sorry, there isn't really any value in my post other than I had to rant.
